For the state management of Hessenforst, we are looking for a qualified and committed person (f/m/d) in Department I “Personnel and Finances” as soon as possible as

“IT Operator (f/m/d) SDE, Geodata and Processes”

Your essential tasks

• Ensuring the usability of spatial data for all specialist applications
• Support in testing, quality assurance and development of data models and processes
• Integration of new and updated data into central geo-databases under Oracle and an Esri SDE
• Quality assurance of externally obtained data
• Control of regular geo-database maintenance jobs and review and analysis of database logs
• Support in the development and provision of geodata analyses
• Managing granular access rights
• Implementation and assistance with testing and quality assurance work
• Ensuring second-level support, user support and ticket processing.
• Support for tests and test processes as part of change and release management
• Collaboration in projects and assistance with the implementation of changes.
• Maintenance of CIs or CI groups and required documentation in the area of responsibility

prerequisites

• Completed subject/university degree (B.Sc. or cf.) in geo/environmental informatics/comparable subject area, in which GIS development is an essential part of the course.

OR:

• Completed vocational training in the field of geomatics/specialist informatics/application development/ system integration/technical system informatics with proven several years of professional experience in these areas
• Profound knowledge and experience in using geographic information systems based on Esri products - ArcGIS Enterprise - ArcGIS Desktop - ArcGIS Pro
• Profound knowledge and experience in geodata management, geodata modelling and databases (Oracle and Esri SDE)
• Profound knowledge and safe use of GIS-related scripting languages, preferably Python, ArcPy and SQL
• Profound knowledge and experience in practical work with the spatial ETL software FME
• Very good knowledge of MS Office
• Knowledge and experience in IT service management based on ITIL® processes are desirable

The position has a grade A 10 or a comparable pay group from TV-Hessen.

Employees who have not yet reached this grade or grade may only be summoned or promoted after budgetary, tariff and civil service requirements have been met.

In principle, employment at the Landesbetrieb HessenForst is carried out exclusively for people who have completed the upper or higher career test Forest Service as a civil servant.

All other people are employed under a collective employment relationship (TV-H). It is generally possible to transfer applicants from other offices who are already in a civil service relationship with the state of Hesse.
