The Sovereign Tech Fund https://www.sovereigntechfund.de/de/ is looking for an experienced program manager to build and further develop the bug resilience program.

Who we are

The Sovereign Tech Fund's mission is to strengthen the foundations of our self-determined digital action. The aim is to promote security, innovation and competitiveness and to create a stable digital basis for participation and democracy. To this end, we are investing in the open-source ecosystem with a focus on resilience and technological diversity and the goal of achieving digital sovereignty and future-proof digital services of general interest.

As a “start-up” in the Federal Agency for Jumping Innovations, we launched in September 2022 with funding from the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Protection and are now looking for strengthening the Sovereign Tech Fund as an independent organization.

Who we're looking for

We are looking for an experienced program manager to Bug Resilience Program https://www.sovereigntechfund.de/de/programme/bug-resilience to build and further develop. that Bug Resilience Program was developed by STF in 2023 to improve vulnerability resilience in open-source software infrastructure projects. The program helps participating projects reduce their “technical debt,” finances security audits and offers participation in a bug and fix bounty.

The Bug Resilience Program Manager coordinates and manages the day-to-day business of the Bug Resilience Program and develops it conceptually.

Management activities include reviewing applications for participation in the program, managing relationships with implementation partners, onboarding and managing bug bounty programs on the STF platform, and monitoring the review of vulnerability and troubleshooting reports and bounty payments.

Your tasks

  • Management of the daily operations of the Bug Resilience Program
  • Communication and coordination with implementation partners
  • Onboarding and communication with applicants and bug bounty program participants
  • Support for the bug bounty program platform
  • Monitoring and auditing bug bounty reports and fixing reports
  • Assistance with processing invoices and bounties
  • Representing the Sovereign Tech Fund at conferences and other events
  • Connect with open source communities and other stakeholders
  • Independent research on current debates and developments in the field
  • Development of further concepts to increase vulnerability resistance
