Engineer (m/f/d) for water management

in Department 70 — Environment, Department 3 — Water Management within the remit of the Lower Water Authority.

What tasks await you?

• They issue permits for water use in accordance with Section 8 of the Water Resources Act in both the municipal and private sectors.
• They process sewer network advertisements and permit applications for waste water treatment plants in accordance with Section 57 Landeswassergesetz NRW.
• They review municipal wastewater disposal concepts of municipalities belonging to the district and comment on them.
• They comment on building applications and land use plan procedures with regard to water management and water law aspects.
• They are taking part in the on-call service as part of the environmental alert plan for the Coesfeld district.

We reserve the right to change the scope of tasks within the “Water Management” specialist service.

What do we expect from you?

• We expect a completed technical degree with a subject-related specialization in the area of water management.

What else should you bring with you?

• An independent, targeted and structured way of working is a matter of course for us and should be just as important for you as the ability to work in a team and negotiation skills.
• You should also have extensive and in-depth knowledge of the application of water and environmental law as well as technical regulations and standards.
• Relevant professional experience in the range of tasks of a Lower Water Authority would be desirable.
• You have computer skills in using standard software (MS Office) and are prepared to familiarise yourself with task-specific procedures.
• You should have a class B driving license and be prepared to make the private motor vehicle available for business trips in return for travel expenses in accordance with the State Travel Expenses Act.
