We are a technically oriented authority with more than 2,000 employees in the division of the Lower Saxony Ministry of the Interior and Sport. We are an official partner and service provider for geodata for administrations, commercial enterprises and citizens in Lower Saxony. These include real estate cadastre, geodetic spatial reference, geotopography, real estate valuation and disposal of weapons. Our organization has begun to modernize its software landscape in order to be the central geodata service provider for the state of Lower Saxony even in the digital age.

What do you bring with you:
- Master of Computer Science, Geoinformatics or another IT-related subject
- Good knowledge of modern programming languages (e.g. Golang, Typescript, Rust) and DBMS
- Basic understanding of CI/CD (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins)
- Good written and oral language skills in German and English, comparable with language level B2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (GER)
It would be an advantage:
- Experience in responsive web design (e.g. Angular, React, Vue, Bootstrap)
- Understanding microservice architectures and cloud-based software development and dealing with container and cloud technologies
- Experience in dealing with version management Continuous integration, delivery and deployment of software products
Her areas of activity would be:
- Development of modern web applications and modernization of our specialist process landscape for various official tasks in the context of geodata in the areas of property security, valuation, geodata infrastructure, security, services of general interest, or digital business processes
- Development of new design, architecture and development standards for web applications and their deployment
- Independent implementation of tasks as part of software development according to Scrum
- Collaboration in agile development teams using Scrum with 7-9 team members
- The assignment in a team is based on specialist areas and requirements
- Participation in a competence group for software development, design, collaboration, geodata visualization as well as professionally oriented nationwide project groups
The willingness to develop yourself and your team members is essential.
