The district of Stade (around 200,000 inhabitants) is located in northern Lower Saxony in the immediate vicinity of the Hanseatic City of Hamburg and is part of the Hamburg metropolitan region; the district administration is based in the Hanseatic City of Stade. Climate Protection Manager (m/f/d)

At the Stade district, a position as climate protection manager (m/f/d) is to be filled in the Planning, Climate Protection and Culture Office.

Your area of responsibility:

Develop a climate protection concept for the administration, in particular:

• Prepare, plan and coordinate individual climate protection measures
• Plan, carry out and evaluate events for administrative staff (m/f/d) for concept development
• Develop and implement models for continuous monitoring and follow-up of climate protection measures
• Maintain and further develop the district-wide network for climate protection

Implement and update the 2030 climate plan for the district of Stade and develop further climate protection measures, in particular:

• Develop concrete climate protection measures to comply with legal climate goals, e.g. with regard to buildings, energy supply and mobility, plan strategically and monitor project progress
• Plan and carry out events for citizens (m/f/d) and climate protection actors in the administrations of the municipalities of the district

Your profile:

You meet our requirements profile if you have completed a university degree (Bachelor or Diploma/FH) in one of the following subject areas:

• climate adaptation
• climate protection
• sustainability
• environmental
• geography
• Spatial, regional or urban planning
• Innovation Sciences
• communication sciences

Experience in project management and participation processes rounds off the requirement profile. Knowledge of funding law is also desirable.

Recruitment requirements also include the existence of a valid class B driving license and a registration-free certificate of good conduct (note: The relevant documents will be required after a successful application). German language skills at level C1 (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages) are also required.
